The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree is meant to provide students with a flexible and individualized degree program through the unique combination of different disciplines to satisfy academic interests. The degree requires a total of 120 semester hours. Of the 120 hours required, 36 hours must be at the 300- or 400- level and 63 hours must fulfill all requirements from a minimum of any 3 (three) of the list of approved minors:
- 39 hours of General Education Requirements,
- 21 hours of First Minor
- 21 hours of Second Minor
- 21 hours of Third Minor
- 18 hours of approved electives (chosen in consultation with the advisor).

Scholarships
Just like on-campus students, Tech Online students may be eligible for admission, departmental, or private scholarships. Louisiana residents may also be eligible for the Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) scholarships awarded by the State of Louisiana. Tuition
The Tech Online program is very unique in that there is flat fee per credit hour. There are no additional fees.
Undergraduate programs cost $400 per credit hour.

Career options depend on the combination of areas of study chosen. Options are wide-ranging, from journalism to law to public relations to the natural and social sciences.
